Young people from Leeds are gaining valuable work experience across a range of industry sectors, thanks to a unique partnership organised by tenants of our flagship One Park Row and Ahead Partnership. Ahead Partnership was founded in 2006 by former corporate lawyer Stephanie Burras. The organisation helps around 60,000 pupils every year engage with employers and learn new skills from businesses.
The programmes have helped hundreds of thousands of people gain a better understanding of the world of work by bringing together local employers from across a range of industries to inspire and deliver hands-on experience.
With this pioneering partnership, we’re aiming to provide young people with exposure to a wide range of businesses and potential future career options, all under one roof.
The students are working with Gilbanks and fellow One Park Row occupants Pinsent Masons and Barclays on a range of activities which introduce students to the opportunities within the sector and help them develop valuable workplace skills. Employers benefit from getting involved by reaching a broader range of young people and presenting the sector as an exciting career choice.
