Tell us a little bit about your business?
Definition is one of the UK’s leading B2B growth agencies. Working out of our two UK hubs in Leeds and London we build brands, engage employees, enhance reputations and generate leads for close to 100 clients across sectors including business and professional services, technology, education, transportation, health & wellness, financial services, engineering and the public sector.
We’ve got a fantastic team of creative and strategic experts spanning brand creatives, video producers, content creators, digital marketers, SEO experts, internal comms pros and former journalists who are all working together to deliver campaigns for close to 100 clients, across the UK and Europe, APAC, Africa and the USA. We have four brands in the group – Definition (PR & organic search strategies), W&P (employee engagement), Redhouse (brand creation) and TopLine Film and together we work with some phenomenal businesses – from some incredibly exciting UK start ups to huge global brands such as Xero, Honda, DHL, Halfords, EDF and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent.
How has your business had to adapt during the pandemic?
Like most businesses, the transition to full time home working and Zoom life was the biggest operational challenge – along with finding ways of keeping disparate teams supported. Some people have absolutely loved working from home whereas others – including me – have missed the buzz, camaraderie and banter of the office environment. Looking ahead we’ll be fusing the two to get the best of both worlds.
We have a bold growth strategy based on a shared vision and despite the pandemic we’ve made huge strides delivering on this. Our vision – displayed in every office including One Park Row – is “to be an acclaimed agency delivering services valued by our clients and rewarding for our people.” Despite the pandemic, we’ve pushed ahead with this completing three acquisitions in seven months that have tripled our size and provide the services our clients need and value – including our InsideOut Comminucations™ offer – a completely 360 degree approach designed to link internal and external strategies and accelerate business growth.
How important is finding a workspace that reflects your company image well for your business?
It’s critical. As a business that believes in the power of brand to define, refine, project and protect a reputation, how we showcase our own business directly reflects the quality of service and expertise we provide.
What has been your clients’ perception of your office?
They love it – genuinely. We work collaboratively and closely with our clients and so many choose to spend time in the office – either working through campaigns or just catching up over a coffee in the Club Lounge.
Can you tell us a little about the other businesses / people you meet at One Park Row?
Alex and the team have worked hard to bring together a group of likeminded people and businesses and as a boutique professional services agency it’s great to be surrounded by similar likeminded and ambitious people – whether that’s to share introductions and opportunities, or just the trials and tribulations of the last year!
What would you say makes Gilbanks stand out from the other serviced office providers?
The quality of the environment we have is first class – having worked from, and visited many serviced offices I don’t know of any others that offer the same quality of environment enjoyed by our clients and team. But equal to that is the care and attention we receive from Maria and her front of house team.
